You were born to enjoy
Even to eat bread you need external help: a knife to cut it into slices. Everything requires an external force. Even so, at some point you will have to realize that the external force and the internal force are the same. When that awareness comes, all friction disappears, because the cause of all problems is duality.
The mind has expected too much or too little from the other person, but if there are no expectations then love would never bring suffering.
When preconceived ideas cease, all suffering is relieved.
Through its heat the sun extracts water vapor which turns into clouds and makes the day dark down here. Can we call the clouds bad because they block the sun? No: in the same way we define good and evil, perfection and imperfection in all things.
You were not born to be miserable. You were not born to suffer. You are the child of joy, created in joy, for joy. When you were conceived, what did your parents do? And wasn’t this, in some way, an action of joy for them? It may have been the joy of love or it may have been the joy of lust, but the essence of joy was there when you were conceived.
